Jack’s recreational interests also include golf, hiking, boating, and traveling. He also enjoys supporting the Minnesota Gopher football and basketball teams, as well as Minnesota Twins and Timberwolves.

The architect behind Haugen Solutions, Jack started Haugen in 1974 after graduating from Hamline University in 1972, where he pursued a degree in education and placed baseball all four years. Although you may think that education is a far stretch from insurance and wealth management, Jack would argue that his passion comes from helping his clients understand the importance of protecting the lifestyle they have (and how to create the lifestyle they want).

Jack supports the Prior Lake and surrounding communities through a strong work, life, and philanthropic philosophy. He exemplifies his commitment to these areas through his involvement, past and present, in Prior Lake Athletics for Youth—coaching over 30 basketball and baseball teams, Prior Lake Rotary Club (since 1979, serving as Club President in 1991-92), Shepherd of the Lake Lutheran Church, Prior Lake Area Chamber of Commerce, Mayor of Prior Lake (2002-2010), and River Valley YMCA Community Board, just to name a few.

In addition to his commitment to his community, Jack is acknowledged by his peers for his dedication to his craft. He was awarded the Agent Service Award for Outstanding Performance in Service, Community Involvement, & Professional Development. For over 40 years, Jack has been consistently recognized as an industry leader. Kyle Haugen

Born and raised in Prior Lake, Kyle was no stranger to his dad’s business and the impact it had on the community. So much so that after graduating in 2000 from Hamline University, Kyle joined Haugen Solutions to continue the legacy of protecting and creating the lifestyle you want.

Kyle’s business achievements are to be noted. He has several recognitions from American National and Securities Management & Research, Inc. for quality of business and production over time. In the two decades Kyle has been in the insurance and financial services industry, he has earned numerous awards for quality of business and production over time from the American National Insurance Company and Securities Management & Research, Inc. In 2016, Kyle earned his Retirement Income Certified Professional designation.

Community involvement is the cornerstone of Kyle’s dedication to serving. Kyle served on the City of Prior Lake’s Park Advisory Committee from 2007-2014. He is a longtime member and former Board member of Prior Lake Area Chamber of Commerce, and has served on several City and School District committees.

He is also highly committed to and passionate about Rotary International where he’s been an active member of the Prior Lake Rotary Club since 2003, serving as President in 2009–10. Kyle is a founding member and former chair of Prior Lake Rotary Foundation and has been involved with Prior Lake Rotary’s Lakefront Music Fest since inception in number of roles, including Talent Committee Chair, Steering Committee member and Event Spokesperson. In addition, he has been very involved at the District level within Rotary, serving in a number of roles. Most significantly, he served as District 5960 Governor in the 2017–18 Rotary year, and now is the District Rotary Foundation Team Leader. He is believed to be the youngest Governor during 2017–18 in the 535 districts internationally! At a regional level, in July of 2021, Kyle will begin a three-year term as a Rotary Public Image Coordinator for Region 36, one of 40 in that position around the world. 

Outside the office, Kyle loves baseball! He played baseball growing up, through high school and college, and amateur “Town Ball” for several years throughout his 20s, returning to play two years of “35 & over” baseball in 2013–14. In addition, Kyle coached several youth baseball and basketball teams and looks forward to coaching more as his kids get older. He is also the former President of Prior Lake Amateur Baseball Association.

While a dedication to community and passion for service exemplify Kyle the businessperson and philanthropist, he is also a dedicated husband and father! The true loves of his life are his wife Carrie (married April 2014) and his two children, Cooper and Quinn. In addition to his work with Haugen Solutions, and being involved in the community and Rotary, Kyle enjoys spending time with this family and friends, watching and attending sporting events, and concerts.

Mary Ellen Glover

Client Service Manager

After growing up in Michigan, Mary Ellen moved to Washington State where she obtained her AA Business from Spokane Falls Community College and was able to travel and experience the great Northwest. It was not long before she missed her family and returned to the Midwest. Making brief stops in Illinois and Michigan where daughters Abbie and Ashlee were born, Mary Ellen and her family finally found a home in Prior Lake, Minnesota.

Mary Ellen’s career in the insurance industry began in Michigan in 2005. After meeting Jack and Kyle, learning their philosophy and the focus on clients’ needs, she knew this was the right place for her to continue her career. For Jack and Kyle, hiring Mary Ellen as Client Services Manager several years ago was a perfect addition to their already strong environment. Mary Ellen’s ability to build and nurture personal relationships with clients, combined with her work ethic and insurance knowledge, fit nicely into the agency’s philosophy of client service.

Outside the office her favorite thing is spending time with her daughters and watching them play volleyball. She also enjoys spending time with friends, boating and traveling whenever possible.

Following high school, Mary headed off to attend college at St. Norbert College, in DePere, WI. Immediately after graduation, with a BA degree in Sociology, Mary's passion for non-profit work and serving others was put into action through a position with the Boys and Girls Club of Green Bay.  

Having met her husband Greg in Green Bay, they moved to MN in1995 to follow career opportunities and to be closer to family. Mary's commitment to serving and supporting others continued through a long, and rewarding career with the YMCA of the Greater Twin Cities where Mary held management roles for 25 years. The highlight of her career in the YMCA was the opportunity to open, and lead, the River Valley YMCA in Prior Lake for 11 years. Throughout this time, the communities and people of Prior Lake, Shakopee and Savage became ingrained in Mary's life. From serving alongside the amazing individuals in Prior Lake Rotary Club, to daily interactions with residents, to participation in a wide variety of organizations within Scott County, she found community.

Community is exactly what brought Mary to Haugen Insurance and Financial Solutions. While new to the insurance and financial services industry, the opportunity with the Haugen Family gives her the opportunity to use a new vehicle to serve the individuals and families in the Prior Lake and surrounding communities. Of particular interest to Mary is building authentic relationships, providing outstanding client service, understanding and meeting needs of clients', and ultimately helping to protect and create the lifestyle you want!

Above all else, is Family. Mary, her husband Greg, and their 3 boys, Shane, Justin and Ryan currently live in Farmington, MN. Raising 3 amazing, smart, talented and centered young men with Greg has been the absolute greatest blessing in her life. Outside of the office, Mary enjoys being social and spending quality time with family and friends.
